Fine lines
Anti-wrinkle Injections to treat fine lines
Anti-wrinkle injections are the most popular minimally invasive cosmetic procedure to date.
Problem areas treated with anti-wrinkle injections:
- Horizontal lines on the forehead
- Vertical lines in between the eyebrows
- Fine lines around the eyes (crow’s feet)
- Smile lines around the mouth
- Muscle bands in the neck
Dr Choroomi uses ultra-fine needles to gently administer the product with minimal discomfort. Numbing cream can also be applied to injection sites to reduce any pain.
Facial Filling Injections to treat fine lines
Facial, or dermal fillers can help smooth fine lines and creases on the face. When injected beneath the skin these facial fillers add temporarily volume to the facial tissue for a softer, smoother appearance. Areas of the face that Dr Choroomi typically treats with facial fillers include:
- Smile Lines: Occur from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
- Marionette Lines: Run from the corners of the mouth down toward the chin.
- Vertical Lines Near the Mouth: Appear near and around the mouth.
- Vertical Lines between the eyebrows, also known as the 11’s.
Dr Choroomi uses a combination of numbing cream and mild aesthetic to minimise discomfort during the procedure. Minor swelling and redness around the injection sight is typical after treatment. Mild bruising may occur in some patients therefor it is important to apply ice immediately following procedure.
Recovery after Fine Line Treatment
There is little to no downtime associated with fine line treatment. You should experience minimal to no bruising and lightly swollen, pink areas at the injection sites. You may return to normal activity following treatment. Refrain from heavy exercise for two days as it can increase swelling. Face make-up should be avoided on the day of the procedure, wait until the following day to keep the injection sights clean of bacteria.
Results from Fine Line Treatment
Anti-Wrinkle Injections: Although the product will begin to reduce muscle activity immediately, full correction of wrinkles may not be seen for 7-10 days following treatment. The results of anti-wrinkle injections typically last 3-4 months. With consistent use your muscles may become weaker and injections may be needed less frequently.
Facial Fillers: Results from facial fillers may be seen immediately but the full rejuvenating effect may not be appreciated until swelling has completely subsided, typically after 2 weeks. On average, the effects of facial fillers last between 6-9 months. Follow-up treatments will need to be maintained to preserve your results.
