Soft Tissue fillers

What are Soft Tissue Fillers?

Soft Tissue fillers are injectable gels made from complex sugars that help to replace skin volume. These sugars, which are found in all living organisms, assist in skin hydration by attracting and onto holding water. It also combines with collagen and elastin to help provide skin structure.

Soft Tissue Fillers with Dr Choroomi

The procedure itself generally last 15-20 minutes, although the time may vary by the number of areas being treated. Dr Choroomi adds mild anaesthetic to the product to minimise any discomfort during the procedure. Numbing cream can also be applied to injection sites, reducing any pain the needle may cause. A minor degree of swelling and redness around the injection sight is typical after treatment. Mild bruising may occur in some patients, therefor it is important to apply ice immediately following procedure.

Results

Results from soft tissue fillers can typically be seen immediately but the full effect may not be appreciated until swelling has completely subsided, typically after two weeks. On average, the effects of soft tissue fillers may last between six to nine months. Over time, the filler breaks down naturally in your skin without leaving any harmful residue behind. Follow-up treatments will need to maintain results.
