No matter how diligent we are about taking care of our skin, wrinkles are an inevitable part of ageing. Many of the lines and wrinkles on our face are caused by actions such as smiling, squinting and frowning. As our skin thins and we lose collagen these lines become more noticeable, especially on our forehead and around our eyes.
Anti-wrinkle
Anti-Wrinkle Injectables can:
- Minimise lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows
- Minimise crow’s feet around the eyes
- Relax smile lines
- Relax muscle bands in the neck
- Soften a pebble like chin
- Lift the eyebrows
Am I a candidate for Anti-Wrinkle Injectables?
Both men and women wanting to treat fine lines and wrinkles may be a candidate for anti-wrinkle injectables. In younger patients these muscle relaxing injectables are often used as a preventative measure by training your muscles to not make certain facial expressions.
Each patient is unique in the amount of wrinkle correction needed. At your initial consultation Dr Choroomi will examine your facial movement and areas of wrinkling in order to determine the optimal locations to be treated. The thickness of your skin and strength of your muscles will determine how much product will be needed.
How do Anti-Wrinkle Injections work?
Muscle relaxing products, when injected, block signals from your nerves to your muscles. The injected muscles can no longer contract, causing wrinkles to relax. Dr Choroomi uses an ultra-fine needle to administer tiny injections of the product directly into your facial muscle. This procedure causes minimal discomfort and patients often return to work and normal activity immediately following treatment. It typically takes 5-7 days for the product to work.
